March 11, 2021Like many countries throughout the
world, Serbia undertook restrictive measures to fight against the novel
coronavirus that infected nearly 790,000 people and killed more than
38,000.
While at first downplaying the health dangers, the Balkan country’s authorities proclaimed the state of emergency on March 15.
Advised
by Chinese experts Belgrade gradually adopted a series of restrictive
measures, including closing of the playgrounds on March 21.
