Each October, several thousand Orthodox Christians gather on the feast day of the Saint Roman Djunis monastery to attend the overnight vigil. At midnight, a hymn is recited as hundreds of people wait to be given atonement, eucharistic liturgy and anointing of the sick, whilst believers sleep in the church waiting for the morning liturgy.
